Deploying Microsoft .NET Framework Version 3.0

The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 (formerly known as WinFX), is the new managed-code programming model for Windows. Applications written for the .NET Framework 3.0 require the .NET Framework 3.0 to be installed on the computer where the application runs. This article briefly describes .NET Framework 3.0 and its relationship to earlier versions of the .NET Framework, provides information on installing and deploying the Framework, and describes how to detect whether the .NET Framework 3.0 is installed.
