Transit of the Venus
Its here!! After 112 years, we will get to see this spectacular celestial event. The
transit of venus is the event during which the planet Venus can be seen moving across the sun and this would be visible from the Earth. It is due to happen in 2012 again (after 8 years) and after that, after 112 years. So, if you missed it now (I did, since the day was very cloudy in Bangalore, India), you can still catch it in 2012. If not, bad luck :-) Hopefully, National Geographic and Discovery should have enough footage of this event.
