Migrating from DotText .95 to Community Server 2.0

Well after holding out forever, I've finally made the plunge to Community Server. There are probably still some quirks, but so far it has gone pretty well. I moved everything between servers using the DotText-CS-Converter tool created by Kevin Harder. I had to spend some time reworking the tool so that it would work with 2.0 and so far it seems like my tweaking worked.

Let me know if you see any issues. Thanks!

Update: Seems the update broke the main feed so I used a redirect page to fix it. However, it also broke the category RSS feeds and I can't think of an easy way to fix it since the format isn't your typical format (/blog/category/xx.aspx/rss).

Anyhow, besides those two issues and the fact that the galleries didn't get migrated it seems that everything else is working.

I need a CAPTCHA control for this or I'm going to get spammed to death!

Looks good, Bryant.  Good job!  Your CS 2.0 blog seems very zippy. I enjoyed your CAPTCHA comment.  Funny!

Congrats on making the change.  It is on my list of things to do (actually I'm working on it now).  The only hang-ups for me is that I have 4 .Text sites and one CS 1.1 to migrate, and the current .Text to CS migration tool only converts to 1.1.  So, I either have to migrate them all at once, or just one or two, and save the rest until the .text to CS 2.0 covert is done.  Scott says it should be done in the next couple weeks, but Kevin is going to be busy with the birth of his new kid.

And, yes, I'm going to try going CAPTHCA less too.  At least for a while.

I just wish that CS 2.0 was even easier to skin.  But it sure does beat CS 1.1 skinning.
